  About Internal hemorrhoids Inquire here

Internal hemorrhoids are nothing but clotting of blood in varicose veins of inner rectal region.

Basically, what happens is that the veins lining the walls of the rectum become enlarged (engorged with too much blood – varicose veins) and bulge out.

  About External hemorrhoids

External hemorrhoids are usually visible as fleshy lumps around the anus.

Any swelling or a protruding mass at or near the anus are considered to be external hemorrhoids.

  Causes

    excessive straining while eliminating bowels,

    pregnancy,

    aging,

    chronic constipation or diarrhea,

Wiping too hard or too long may cause or aggravate hemorrhoids.

    lifting straining can cause hemorrhoids

Liver disease can also cause increased pressure in the veins, as blood is pooled in and around the pelvic system.

    If you are overweight,

You are lifting your excess weight up every time you stand or walk or run.

Another factor that counts is heredity.

  Symptoms of Internal hemorrhoids are:

bright red blood covering the stool,

    on toilet paper,

    or in the toilet bowl.

However, an internal hemorrhoid may protrude through the anus outside the body, becoming irritated and painful. This is known as a protruding hemorrhoid.

  Symptoms of external hemorrhoids are

    painful swelling

Hard lump around the anus that results when a blood clot forms. This condition is known as a thrombosed external hemorrhoid.

In addition, excessive straining, rubbing, or cleaning around the anus may cause irritation with bleeding and/or itching, which may produce a vicious cycle of symptoms.
